New Additions to My Game Collection

Between Origins, Kickstarter deliveries & my recent birthday, I've added quite a few titles to my game library since the beginning of June. Here's what's new on my shelves:
Origins Haul

I left Columbus in June with a car full of new goodies (along with a few boxes of games I was transporting for a friend). I bought fewer games than last year, adding the following to my collection:
Doug, Doug, Goose, Caboose (this just showed up in my bag one day)
Ubongo (a free mini version given away at their booth)

In addition, I bought my nephews My Very First Games Animal Upon Animal & I received a set of 2 awesome Marvel-themed dice bags I'd commissioned from from Sam & Ken of Geek-Craft (you can order your own here). The final gaming-related item I obtained at Origins (thanks to HABA & Matt Wolfe) was my very own Rhino Hero cape!

Birthday Haul

I received fewer games than I typically get on gift-giving occasions, as my parents & husband grouped together to buy me the amazing (& HUGE) Lego Helicarrier set instead of buying games from my wishlist as has been their usual standby. But I still managed to add 5 new titles to my shelves.

Glen More & Notre Dame together were an extremely generous gift from one of my friends (& most frequent gaming opponents). Both are harder-to-obtain games that I've loved so I'm thrilled to finally have my own copies. I've already ordered replacement wooden bits from Mayday for Glen More so I can make my copy even better.

Riff Raff, Loony Quest, and Why First? were, in fact, my birthday gifts to myself. I put together this order from Amazon.de at the beginning of the month & it arrived a few days ago. All three are games that I've previously played & thoroughly enjoyed and that also have great potential for family & other non-gamer friend gatherings so I'm hoping they'll see plenty of play.

Other Acquisitions

Seven7s, the Compounded: Geiger Expansion, and my set of all 8 Pack O Games all arrived as various Kickstarter campaigns fulfilled their backer rewards. I haven't played any of them yet, but hope to get at least Seven7s to the table soon.

The Eldritch Horror Forsaken Lore expansion and a set of 5 additional AH-themed dice were items I treated myself to after enjoying a couple of solo plays of Eldritch Horror over the July 4th weekend. I still haven't managed to play the game with other people, but I really enjoy it & so decided that more cards and more dice were a no-brainer (I've never understood why both AH & EH didn't include more dice in the damn boxes).

Additions in summary:
1 & 1/2 months, during which I added
24 games (plus 1 purchased as a gift), and
2 expansions, plus
3 gaming accessories (& have ordered 1 more).
